Let's create a new word...

Auto-respect. It's the kind of respect that you give someone that you don't know a lot about who is respected by others.

For instance, when you stumble across someone on Youtube with over 1000 subscribers. Automatic respect. Or when someone with over 1000 lurve points answers a question on Fluther. Automatic respect.

Often, auto-respect leads to exponentially increasing respect. There is, however, a time at which there is no one new to give said respect. This will be called the respect cap.

Auto-respect
can also be defined as "the kind of respect that makes it seem impossible for an unpopular Internet user to ever surpass their piddly 46 subscriber count or 240 lurve point count".

Not that anyone is counting.

WTF

I woke up this morning and immediately started surfing the net. I haven't moved since then, save to get myself some coffee. Something is wrong here.

I feel like there isn't enough time in the day to absorb everything that I see on the net. And I've subscribed to so many things that keeping up to date is getting quite difficult. Fluther is addicting as hell (thank Ceiling Cat it isn't more popular), my favourite Youtubers keep posting awesome videos (seriously, stop it, guys), and I keep finding more and more sites to explore. Damn Internet. Why do you have to be so amazing?

But I love it. Why can't I just do this for a while? Oh, yeah. There's work to be done. And there's an Oasis concert in a few hours...
